1941 By the early 1950s, Revere employed 1,500 workers at two major Chicago plants (320 E. 21st Street, 221 E. Cullerton Street), and its production had expanded into electric drills, tape recorders, and other electronics. Sam Briskin’s aggressive advertising strategies, acquisitions, and pricing schemes had established an unlikely dynasty, but it was his son Ted Briskin—Revere’s young playboy president—who was always generating more of the headlines.
